Urša Habič

Urša Habič (*1984) studied Landscape Architecture in Ljubljana. During and after her studies, she worked as a freelance collaborator for various Slovenian landscape and architecture firms, before moving to Switzerland in 2013. She has since been part of Schweingruber Zulauf, and was a founding team member of Studio Vulkan in Zurich. She has played a key role there as a team leader since 2018, shaping the office with her professional expertise.

Over the years, she has made significant contributions to projects of various scales, from large-scale master plans to finely detailed design work. The competition, planning and realisation of the park at Zurich Airport (‘The Park’) exemplify her design ambition and creative strength, evident not only in the early phases of a project.

Since 2023, Urša Habič has been a partner at Studio Vulkan. Moreover, she has been working as a specialist juror in landscape architecture competitions for a number of years. She has also acted as a guest critic at universities and colleges in Switzerland and other countries.
