Manuel Stöckli
Manuel Stöckli (*1989) learned landscape architecture from the ground up. With a background as a qualified landscape gardener and hands-on experience in a variety of contexts, he brings in-depth expertise to the team, combining plant knowledge with a holistic design perspective. His interest in sustainability informs his work on topics such as sponge city strategies, biodiversity, microclimate and ‘design for all’.
He has been a project and construction manager at Studio Vulkan since 2020, and has been an Associate and part of the management team since 2025.
From 2014 to 2018, he worked as a landscape architect at Hüsler und Hess AG in Lucerne. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2014, he worked as a garden architect. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture at OST – University of Applied Sciences Eastern Switzerland in Rapperswil (2009–2012). Before that, in 2008, he gained international experience through an internship at a tree nursery in New Zealand. He began his career in the field with a landscape gardening apprenticeship and a vocational baccalaureate in design, completed between 2005 and 2008.
