Johanna Joecker

Johanna Joecker (*1991) has been with Studio Vulkan Zurich since 2019 and, as of 2025, leads large-scale urban projects as an Associate. She specialises in the development of open space concepts, master plans and strategic neighbourhood planning, fields with which she has been engaged since completing her Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design at Leibniz University Hannover in 2016.

From 2017 to 2019, she worked as a project manager at Latz + Partner in Germany. In 2023, she completed the Creationship CAS programme at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Dedicated to academic exchange, Johanna maintains close ties with universities by delivering lectures and providing guest critiques at institutions such as Leibniz University Hannover, OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) and ETH Zurich. She has also co-led a seminar on climate-responsive urban planning at TU Braunschweig.
