The first stage of the project around the Westbahnhof in Karlsruhe has been completed. With the opening of the Rotag Garden, an important first step in the gradual transformation of the former tobacco factory site was implemented. The historic track that once served the tobacco factory from the railway is open again – it now serves as public access in the Rotag Garden – in the long term it acts as the green foyer of the tobacco factory to the Westbahnhof.
