On behalf of the municipality of Horw, Studio Vulkan is developing a forward-looking vision for the transformation of the existing town centre.

This process is being carried out transparently and in close dialogue with the public. Through a series of participatory events, spatial objectives and design ideas have been explored directly on site, while local needs and aspirations have been systematically gathered. In line with a site-specific and process-oriented design methodology, initial concepts were embedded within the urban context through spatial sketches, then collectively discussed and evaluated with residents during guided walks.

The participatory programme has generated strong interest and provided substantial, constructive feedback on the proposals. Following the second engagement phase, the project has now entered its final stage.
