ETH Zürich: Wolfgang-Pauli-Strasse Renewal Begins
The renewal of Wolfgang-Pauli-Strasse at ETH Zürich is entering its implementation phase. The project will transform the street into a more climate-resilient and attractive campus space, bringing together mobility, public space, biodiversity, stormwater management and design for all.
As part of the works, selected existing trees will be removed and replaced with climate-resilient species. Once the renewal is complete, significantly more trees will line both sides of the street, contributing to an improved microclimate and greater biodiversity. The vegetation concept was developed in collaboration with ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
ETH Zürich is accompanying the transformation with a comprehensive communication concept. Information sheets and QR codes attached to the affected trees provide students, staff and visitors with direct access to information about the project, the planned measures and the different stages of implementation.
