More Open Space for All: Day of Landscape Architecture 2026

On Thursday, 11 June 2026, the Day of Landscape Architecture 2026 will take place at the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn under the theme “More Open Space for Everyone”. The conference addresses current questions of open space development and explores the role of landscape architecture in relation to health, safety and social issues within processes of urban transformation.

The programme focuses on the planning and implementation of public open spaces, green infrastructure and parks as integral components of future-oriented urban and landscape environments. Through contributions from both practice and research, different dimensions of contemporary open space development will be discussed within an interdisciplinary framework.

Studio Vulkan will be part of the discussion. Representing the office, Lukas Schweingruber will share insights from current projects and contribute perspectives drawn from landscape architecture practice in Switzerland and Germany.
