Everything comes together: The City of Zurich’s forward-looking decisions on urban development and climate adaptation have been consolidated in the White Paper for the Zurich Main Station Urban Space 2050.

We warmly invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Zurich Main Station 2050 – White Paper” on 22 November 2025 at @zaz_bellerive – Zürich Architecture Center, Höschgasse 3, Zurich, where the future spatial concept will be presented.

Since 2020, we at Studio Vulkan Landscape Architecture – together with @hosoyaschaeferarchitects, @bs_engineering_ag and IBV Hüsler AG, and since 2022 also with Atelier Corso, @baslerhofmann_structures and @uniola.official Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning – have been working to combine all the needs of Zurich’s most central location into a coherent vision.

The White Paper illustrates, through images, the vision for a vibrant urban space in the heart of the city and explains step by step how the various planning aspects come together. Each mode of transport receives its appropriate space, the different zones gain a clear profile, and the objectives make it explicit that the future focus lies on the human scale: enabling walking, creating places to stay, and addressing rising temperatures in a way that supports people, animals and plants over the long term.
