Circular Summit 2025 – Shaping circularity together

The Circular Summit provided a valuable platform to explore the opportunities and challenges of the circular economy and to develop concrete solutions collaboratively.

It became clear that the linear economic model based on the “take-make-waste” principle is outdated. Increasing waste volumes, dwindling resources, and the loss of biodiversity show that we have long since exceeded the planet’s limits. This made it all the more important to use the summit as a space to discuss new paths toward a sustainable, circular economy.

The event took place in Haar and was organized by Umweltcluster Bayern as part of the Circular Academy project. The diverse program ranged from inspiring keynotes to practical examples from production, construction, and services, and included panel discussions with leading thinkers from business, academia, and politics. The summit was rounded out by numerous opportunities for exchange and networking with key actors in the circular transition.

As part of the accompanying event series, Florian Strauß led a workshop focused on developing and discussing hands-on approaches for implementing circular principles in practice.
