Vulkanos Visit the Construction Site in Dunkelhölzli

At Studio Vulkan, we are interested in working across different scales and phases of design. We do not only believe in theory – we believe in building. Realising our ideas in physical space allows us to learn directly from the complexity of the real world.

Whenever possible, we organise office excursions to construction sites to observe how ideas are translated into built form. These visits help us understand what it truly means to move earth, to excavate, to shape terrain.

This time, we visited our construction site for the City Gardens in Dunkelhölzli.
