1st Place: Westbahn HUB Karlsruhe

In Karlsruhe, we had the opportunity to design a new business and commercial area next to the Grünwinkler Bridge. But until the new buildings are completed, there’s a unique chance to activate the space underneath.
Currently used as a parking lot, this area will one day become the key link between Karlsruhe West train station and the Rotag Areal—an old tobacco factory transformed into a vibrant social hub. We’re excited to experiment, test ideas, and bring new life to this overlooked urban space.
