1st Place: Lindenplatz Winterthur

Wülflingen, a district of Winterthur, is known for its distinctive blend of traditional charm and contemporary needs. Challenges such as traffic, heat, and competing demands on limited space have inspired us to respond with subtle yet effective solutions: making use of every available corner and transforming them into a mosaic of public spaces.

Our approach mends the urban fabric through a combination of bold interventions—such as creating access to the Eulach River and planting trees on the main square—and a set of clear, simple guidelines to guide future development.

In this way, Wülflingen will preserve and strengthen its unique character, enhance public life, and gain a renewed, direct connection to its waterfront.
